Youth Focus North West

Youth Focus North West (YFNW) is an independent charity founded in the early 90s, our mission is to improve the lives of young people living in the North West of England.

We pride ourselves on our strong youth work roots. We work in partnership with young people and organisations to have a voice where it counts. Our work gives young people the opportunities to make a difference individually, locally, regionally and nationally. We create networks, broker partnerships and open up opportunities for young people and organisations to work together.

Youth Focus North East

Youth Focus North East (YFNE) is an independent charity, established in 1989, with the overall vision to improve the lives of young people through high quality youth work. We exist for the benefit of young people and the organisations which support them. Our organisation is rooted in the values of good youth work: honesty, respect, equality, and inclusion.



We work with young people aged 11-25 across the North East of England to create lasting change in their lives and to positively influence the world around them. We work with some of the most socially excluded and disadvantaged young people in the region, with a focus on addressing some of the big societal issues of the 21st Century – poor mental health, employability and tackling loneliness and isolation. 

Youth Work Unit Yorkshire and the Humber 

Youth Work Unit Yorkshire and the Humber, established in 1998, is a strategic youth work development agency for the Yorkshire and Humber region. It is the focal point for the youth work sector in the region and has a unique role in bringing together the dual functions of support and development.

We aim to support youth work planners and providers in the region to maintain a quality youth work offer to young people as well as working with young people themselves so enable their voice and influence to be maximized locally, regionally and nationally.
