Fundraising in the arts and cultural sector is changing. As many organisations become less reliant on state funding and foundation grants, they are exploring further and investing more in private fundraising and philanthropy. Arts Council England has commissioned this guidance to provide an understanding of the practical steps that must be taken to fundraise in a legally compliant manner and in accordance with best practice.

We have recently updated the guide with changes including:

  • The new legal framwework and requirements under GDPR
  • The new Fundraising Preference Service
  • The new Fundraising Code and the Rulebook on Private Site Fundraising
