This report was to understand the role that existing place-based investment programmes have played in delivering economic and social outcomes, and particularly what lessons can be learned to inform future policy. It highlights five fundamental areas of impactful place-based programmes, and explores their importance in achieving change.
Overall, the report demonstrates that lasting impact is generated where new or existing infrastructure is brought to life through investment in long-timeframe revenue investment in people, skills, and collaboration.
