The economic value of arts and culture in the North of England

We have commissioned the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) to produce The Economic Value of Arts and Culture in the North of England report.
The report was commissioned to ensure that the Arts Council and the sector in the North have a clear, robust and evidence-based understanding of the contribution made by arts and cultural activities to the Northern economy. This more detailed insight into the nature of the economic contribution of the arts and culture sector will help to inform policy, and further support key partnerships with Local Enterprise Partnerships, Combined Authorities and metro mayors in the North and the Northern Powerhouse Partnership.
More specifically, building on the previous national research, it looks at how the arts and culture sectors contribute to the economies of the North East and North West of England and of Yorkshire and the Humber.
