A research report by the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University on the representation of people from Black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds across the UK children’s literature sector, commissioned to more fully understand the current position of BME  people working in the sector, the barriers they face and what the Arts Council and other organisations can do to achieve positive and sustainable change.

Alongside this report, we published a literature review, summarizing the available evidence on the representation of people from Black and minority ethnic background in the children’s literature sector.
