Timeline
September 2024: launching a new generation of Music Hubs
In September 2024, the new Music Hub programme will begin delivering high-quality, accessible music education that helps all children and young people fulfil their musical interests in line with the aims and ambitions of the National Plan for Music Education.
Midday (12pm), Thursday 6 June 2024: deadline to apply to the London — South West and South Yorkshire Music Hub areas
To ensure the delivery of high quality music education right across England, we are continuing the search for new Hub Lead Organisations in two Music Hub areas: London South West and South Yorkshire.
Applicants will need to submit their applications to us by midday on Thursday 6 June. We will let organisations know the outcome of their application in July so they are ready to begin their role in September 2024.
April – August 2024: funding agreement negotiation
In the months leading up to the launch of the new Music Hubs, we will work with new Hub Lead Organisations to negotiate their funding agreements and help them prepare to coordinate diverse, dynamic and strategic Music Hub partnerships from September 2024.
You will receive a conditional offer for the Music Hub capital grant for musical instruments, equipment and technology once your funding agreement for the revenue grant has been finalised and signed.
