Intro

From the coast of Cornwall up to the northern borders of England, these organisations offer large-scale, inclusive performances, music programmes, residencies, summer schools and workshops, helping to develop their skills, experience, and knowledge of music and supporting them to excel as young creatives.

Awards for young Musicians

For over 20 years, we’ve supported talented young people from low-income families, helping them to overcome financial and social obstacles. Whatever the genre, whatever the style, our strategically-targeted programmes help young musicians from across the UK to grow, flourish and fulfil their musical potential.

National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain

We support children aged 8-14 to be happy and healthy through transformative orchestral experiences and performances of exceptional quality. We inspire them to be the best musician that they can be, unlock their creative potential and support their wellbeing. We give children the time and respect to develop their voices and we create a sense of belonging and community.

National Youth Jazz Collective

The National Youth Jazz Collective enables young jazz enthusiasts to find equally keen young musicians. Together we help develop their skills, passion and experience as jazz players. With our annual Summer School and series of monthly sessions in different regional centres around England, we support music education by empowering 8–18 year-olds to learn, improvise, compose, arrange and lead bands.

National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain

The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain exists to unlock the potential of the UK’s young musicians, through the power of orchestral music. Our teenage musicians come from all over the UK, and from very different backgrounds – but they’re bound together by their love for orchestral music, and their desire to open up orchestral music to other young musicians.
