Arts Council England supported this comprehensive study into how visual artists in England live and work. TBR has delivered this research with support from a-n The Artists Information Company and James Doeser. The project has benefitted from extensive engagement with a number of organisations who a-n brought together to form a Steering Group of project partners. The project partners have contributed significantly to the scoping stage, survey design and launch.

We are grateful to a-n and the commitment of the steering group members for this research. We also want to thank all respondents to the survey, who generously contributed their time and insights.
