David Porter
David Porter founded Creative Arts Promotion Limited in 1992. It works principally alongside local authorities and national organisations to develop arts programmes, often in rural and remote areas. He is currently Project Director for the National Rural Touring Forum, a Director of J-Night, which promotes contemporary jazz in Hull and east Yorkshire, including the Hull Jazz Festival, and the Strategic Director of NYMAZ (North Yorkshire Youth Music Action Zone).
David was Director of Ilkley Literature Festival, Hull Literature Festival, York Arts Centre and Lincoln Festival and was Associate Director of the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith between 1979 and 1986.
