Gwenda Hughes
Gwenda was an actor for several years before receiving an Arts Council Trainee Director's Bursary to work with Theatre CentreYoung People's Theatre. She was Artistic Director of Watford Palace Theatre in Education Company and subsequently an Associate Director at Birmingham Rep where she directed over twenty five productions. She has worked as a freelance director for M6, Women's Theatre Group. the Young Vic, Oldham Coliseum, Salisbury Playhouse, Red ladder and Lip Service. From 1998 until 2006 she was Artistic Director of the New Vic Theatre in Staffordshire. She is currently working as a freelance director, writer and researcher.
