Cllr Tony Skipper

As Coventry City Council Cabinet Member for Arts and Culture, Tony Skipper has been heavily involved in initiating major improvement developments at the Belgrade Theatre, Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, and the Coventry Transport Museum. Until recently he was a member on the board at the Belgrade Theatre and had been for a number of years. He has chaired the Coventry City Council Audit Committee and Belgrade Theatre Audit Committee. He led and was closely involved in the establishment of the Coventry Heritage and Arts Trust to manage the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum facilities, including the Lunt Roman Fort and the Priory Visitor Centre.  He is employed as a Senior Lecture at Coventry University where he teaches and provide research supervision on entrepreneurship, business research and business analysis. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has been for well over twenty years.
