Cllr Simon Cook
Simon Cook was educated at Norwich School and read English at the University of Sussex. He worked in business management for six years before training on the two year acting course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He has since had twenty years experience in the professional theatre - in repertory and two seasons with the RSC - and on radio and television.
Simon has been a Member of Bristol City Council since 1999, Lord Mayor of Bristol 2004-5 and is currently Deputy Leader with responsibility for Culture, Sport and Capital Projects.
Simon is the Director of the Pod Factory Ltd, a small company making video and audio podcasts. He also enjoys music, walking and cycling.
