Nick Giles
Nick Giles is Chief Executive of Shoreditch Town Hall, a creative and cultural space in East London. He is also currently a Consultant Producer for Hightide Theatre Festival and Creative Consultant/Producer for Ben Wright’s bgroup and Vincent Dance Theatre.
Until January 2011 he was Director of The Corn Exchange & New Greenham Arts in Newbury, West Berkshire and Chair of Hextable Dance in Kent.
Previous roles include Executive Producer at the Donmar Warehouse, Deputy Director of Oxford Playhouse and Centre Director of Riverside Studios in London.
Nick originally trained as a musician and composer, completing at M.Phil in 20th Century Music with Colin Riley in 2000. He was also broadcast as part of the BBC's Manchester Composers Platform in 1998. He then moved into arts management following a brief period in the commercial sector.
In addition to his work in theatre, Nick maintains an interest in music - he was Executive Director of the iF festival of new music from 2000 to 2007, commissioning and producing events in London venues for the first time.
Nick is a trustee of Oxford Contemporary Music and Jackson’s Lane in London.
