Nicky Parker
Nicky is the Head of Transformation and Business Improvement at Manchester City Council where until December 2009, she was the Head of Libraries. Nicky is President of the Society of Chief Librarians, an organisation which brings together the strategic leadership and management of public libraries in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. She is a Trustee of The Reading Agency, a national charity that works with libraries across the UK, an elected member of the General Assembly of the University of Manchester and previously a member of the Secretary of State's statutory Advisory Council on Libraries. Outside of work, she is a Trustee of several youth organisations.
