Cllr Shan Alexander
Shan has been a Councillor at Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council since 1998. She is Executive Member for Leisure and Culture. During this period she has held positions as Executive Member for Education (2001-2005) and Mayor of Stockport (2005-2006). She has had a long-term career as a senior manager in the civil service and was North West Head of Programmes for disability in the employment service for six years. She has a strong interest in the arts, in particular in music and theatre.
