Guy Nicholson
Guy Nicholson is Councillor for the London Borough of Hackney and holds the Cabinet portfolio for Regeneration and the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. He is a member of a number of boards, including the North London Strategic Alliance and the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation, and is Chair of the Five Host Borough Cultural Partnership Board and of the City Fringe Partnership. He is a member of the European Social Fund Programme Committee, the London Councils Economic Development Forum and London Councils 2012 Culture, Leisure & Tourism Forum. He is also a member of the Advisory Board for Art in the Open, a new pan London public art initiative.
Guy graduated in theatre design from the Central School of Art & Design in London. He has worked with various UK and international producing companies staging a variety of live performance productions, and is currently a board member for the Hackney Empire Theatre.
