Cecilia Wee
Cecilia Wee is a London-based independent arts writer, broadcaster and curator. Cecilia has been an arts documentary programme maker for London art radio station Resonance FM since 2002, is a co-director of interdisciplinary art project Rational Rec and is finishing her DPhil in Music and Philosophy at the University of Sussex, on performance/live art documentation. As a producer and curator, Cecilia is concerned with models of artistic production and interactivity in experimental sound, performance and visual art practices, and has worked with LIFT Southbank 2008, Society for the Promotion of New Music, Whitechapel Art Gallery and the Chinese Art Centre. As an artist and writer, Cecilia explores post-Kantian philosophy, the history of technological ‘progress’, the concept of dialogue, cultural understandings of militarised combat and civil society in the Global South. She has presented her work at Frieze Art Fair, Chelsea College of Art, South London Gallery, online journal /seconds, the Battle of Ideas, Tate Modern, Magazin 4 in Bregenz (Austria), and Profile Intermedia Conference Bremen (Germany).
