Hetain Patel
Hetain Patel completed his Fine Art BA (Hons) from Nottingham Trent’s in 2003. He has been a full time practicing artist since 2004 when he received the Decibel award from Arts Council England, East Midlands. Since then his photography, video and live works have been shown nationally and internationally, including recently at Tate Britain and further a field in New York, Lithuania and Germany.
Having completed a two-year residency at Lakeside Arts Centre Nottingham, and following inclusion in the BJCEM Art Biennale in Bari, Italy, Hetain is due to complete his national Sine Language exhibition tour with beatboxer Jason Singh.
In order for the arts to continue to thrive, individuals and groups have to inspire and be inspired. Hetain is keen to contribute to this cycle through both his art practice and through sharing his experience through teaching in community workshops, schools and universities.
