Alice Rawsthorn

 Alice Rawsthorn is the Design Critic of the International Herald Tribune, the global edition of the New York Times. Her weekly Design column is syndicated to other media worldwide. From 2001 to 2006, Alice was Director of the Design Museum in London and, before then, an award-winning journalist with the Financial Times, working as a foreign correspondent in Paris and pioneering the FT's coverage of the creative industries. Her books include a biography of the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, and "Hello World: Where Design Meets Life", which is to be published in 2013. Alice is a Trustee of the Whitechapel Gallery and Chair of the Chisenhale Gallery.
