The arts policy committee considers high-level policy and strategy for the Arts Council on behalf of national Council. This includes the development of the long-term investment strategy that underpins the national arts strategy and the Arts Council plan.  

The committee meets four times a year, and reports on its activity to national Council.

The arts policy committee comprises five to eight Council members. Current membership is:
