Gavin Stride

Gavin has spent the past 25 years as a director and producer of new theatre, predominantly in non theatre spaces for new audiences. He has taken work to the National Theatre, Georgia and his production of Independent People was selected for the Reykjavik European City of Culture. Over the past 8 years he has established Farnham Maltings as a creative organization that produces new theatre with a range of companies, leads house as a 120 strong programmer network across South East England and caravan a biennial showcase of New English performance. Gavin is chair of Crying Out Loud and former chair of the Independent Theatre Council, he is a fellow of the RSA and retains an unlikely enthusiasm for Swedish ceramics and 1960s Tupperware.
