Marcus Davey is Chief Executive & Artistic Director of the Roundhouse, Camden.
Soon after completing his degree at Dartington College of Arts, Marcus was appointed Administrator of Dartington International Summer School and then Head of Arts for Dartington Hall Trust. He later went on to be Artistic Director & Chief Executive of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
Marcus was appointed Chief Executive & Artistic Director of The Roundhouse Trust in 1999, overseeing the £30m re-development of the Roundhouse into a world class performance space and state of the art creative centre for young people.
Voluntary positions include; trustee of the Brook Street Band Trust, trustee of the Longplayer Trust, member of the London Council for Arts Council England, member of the Steering Board for Barclays LifeSkills, and a founder member and Advisory Board co-chair of the Creative Industries Federation. He is a keen supporter of the What Next? movement and of Speakers for Schools.
Marcus is an honorary fellow of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, the University of London, and Dartington College of Arts. He was awarded an OBE in 2011 for his services to the arts.
