Museums and libraries
In October 2011 Arts Council assumed some of the functions of the Museums Libraries and Archives Council.
The five 10-year goals in our strategic framework have been adapted to reflect the needs and priorities for museums and libraries in Culture, knowledge and understanding: great museums and libraries for everyone.
Arts at the heart
Our strategic framework is informed by our knowledge of artistic practice and the needs of different artforms over the next four years. The evolution and growth of theatre, visual arts, literature, music, dance and combined arts is vital to the health and future success of the arts and our goals and priorities will guide our work to support this.
