Take it away at the MIA awards

The Take it away scheme had a night out attending the Music Industries Association awards at London's Sheraton Park Hotel in October, and was delighted to present Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre with the Take it away retailer of the year award!

Take it away offered all the stores running the scheme the opportunity to tell us why they should be awarded the coveted mantel of Take it away retailer of the year. Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre won our judges over, and went home with the award.

Owner David Fletcher said: "We were absolutely overjoyed and incredibly surprised to win this award and I have to say it was one of the best business decisions we ever made! It's put instruments into the hands of people who otherwise wouldn't have afforded them, which is great not only for us retailers, but also has a knock on effect for local music tutors, rehearsal rooms, etc, so lots of people benefit."
