Symphony Music

1 Dec 2009

The Take it away scheme is currently available through 272 participating stores across England, all offering great help and advice to customers considering buying an instrument.

We feel so strongly that our participating stores are of the very highest calibre, that when the Music Industries Association asked if we’d like to present an award at their annual ceremony to the Take it away Retailer of the Year, we were only too happy to get involved.

We asked customers to nominate the Take it away store that gave them an outstanding level of service, and the results came back overwhelmingly in favour of Wigan store, Symphony Music.

Run by David Bamford, Symphony Music has been operating since 2005, and has just moved into bigger premises in the heart of Wigan. David told us how being a Take it away retailer has worked for his business:

“It has been a remarkable success; it offers our customers leverage to buy the instrument they really want at no further cost and with no strings attached. For us it is a genuine unique selling point. Furthermore it offers our store great credibility to have the endorsement of an Arts Council scheme, and it gives our customers added peace of mind.”

Congratulations to Symphony Music, officially Take it away Retailer of the Year!
