Make your mark in music
5 Mar 2008
Take it away and Make Your Mark In Music have just launched an exciting competition offering the chance for 3 people to win prizes of £1000 worth of musical instruments and equipment.
The competition runs until 17 March and is open to young people up to the age of 30*. All you need to do for a chance of winning is answer these questions:
- what role does music play in your life?
- how would £1000 worth of instruments and equipment help you to make your mark in the music business?
For full details and a competition entry form visit www.makeyourmarkinmusic.org/win_a_grand
The judging panel includes Musician and Producer T2, who recently had a hit single with Heartbroken. He said of the competition: “A lot of young musicians out there want to get into producing but aren’t sure how or don’t have the equipment, so it’s great to see that this is offering both the know-how and the instruments”
The Make Your Mark in Music campaign launched in January and provides young people with the information, advice and general encouragement they might need to get ahead in the music business. Featuring interviews and tips from a wide variety of experts specialising in all sides of the music industry, the web site provides a one-stop shop for information on everything from record and publishing companies, through live promoters and agents to pr/promotion and management companies.
