Take it away launch

The scheme was launched in style yesterday at LSO St Luke’s, East London.

The new Culture Minister, Margaret Hodge, spoke passionately about the benefits of the scheme, and Sir Christopher Frayling, Chair of Arts Council England, noted the strong partnerships that have been developed between the Arts Council, the scheme’s credit provider; MIFCO, the MIA, and of course the retailers.

We’d like to thank everyone who attended the launch, not least the children and teachers from Northwold Primary School, for such a great performance!

Not quite sure how to use Take it away? Just visit one of our participating stores, select the instrument you’d like to buy and the sales staff will take you through the credit application process. This takes no more than a couple of minutes.

If you’re approved, you can take your instrument away with you there and then. Please remember that to be eligible you must be a UK resident over the age of 18, with a bank account capable of handling direct debits.

Approved applicants will be asked to pay a minimum deposit of 10% of the loan amount .
