Mindtools is a website providing management, leadership & career training and a range of tools and resources on a number of management subjects. Access to many of these requires a subscription of US$1 per month. However, many articles are available free online. An eBook containing all its online tools is available for download for around US$20.
Mindtools' Leadership page contains some useful links to subjects such as Leadership Styles, Emotional Intelligence and Ethical Leadership.
Mindtools' Stress Management pages offer ways of developing behaviours that nurture and support staff and foster appropriate working styles, such as staying cool under pressure, recognising and dealing with burnout, and anger management.
The Value Based Management (VBM) site is a library of explanation of management methods, models and theories, giving succinct outlines of numerous approaches under five headings: 'Strategy- Value Creation'; 'Valuation- Decision Making'; 'Organisation - Change - Culture'; 'Communication - Marketing'; and 'Leadership - Management'. The sections are cross-referenced. The links at the bottom of each column take you to the 12manage site. No log-in or registration is required for VBM.
