UK Centre for Carnival Arts

As the UK’s first centre for carnival arts, the UKCCA aims to be an international centre of excellence, delivering artists’ residencies, groundbreaking education skills and creative industries programmes. The new purpose-built premises in Luton will contribute nationally to the strategic development of carnival arts, increase access to high-quality product and focus on artists’ development.

Funding awards

UK Centre for Carnival Arts will receive £450,000 in 2008/2009, £525,000 in 2009/2010, £536,479 in 2010/2011 and £499,462 in 2011/2012.

As a national portfolio organisation, UK Centre for Carnival Arts has been offered £545,940 in 2012/2013, £558,497 in 2013/2014 and £573,018 in 2014/2015. This is subject to a funding agreement being agreed.
