The Poetry Business

The Poetry Business is a nationally significant poetry publisher based in Sheffield. It publishes poetry pamphlets, books and audio material along with the literary magazine The North. It provides writing development through workshops, monthly writing days and a writing school. Its annual book and pamphlet competition is an important feature in the literary calendar.

Funding awards

The Poetry Business will receive £49,140 in 2008/2009, £50,467 in 2009/2010, £51,570 in 2010/2011 and £48,012 in 2011/2012.

As a national portfolio organisation, The Poetry Business has been offered £45,851 in 2012/2013, £46,952 in 2013/2014 and £48,173 in 2014/2015. This is subject to a funding agreement being agreed.
