British Underground

British Underground help emerging artists and labels access the international music industry by promoting UK showcase stages at international music business gathering such as SXSW, Midem and Popkomm. They also work with PRS Foundation to deliver the British Music Abroad scheme which offers financial support to emerging UK acts that have been selected for key overseas showcase opportunities.

Funding awards

British Underground will receive £96,931 in 2008/2009, £99,549 in 2009/2010, £101,724 in 2010/2011 and £94,705 in 2011/2012.

As a national portfolio organisation, British Underground has been offered £150,000 in 2012/2013, £150,000 in 2013/2014 and £158,000 in 2014/2015. This is subject to a funding agreement being agreed.
