This guide has been written in partnership between Arts Council England and CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) to support individuals and organisations undertaking capital development work to arts buildings. It follows a logical pattern through the construction process following the path from inception to completion. It can be read chronologically or navigated using the extensive links. The publication is available as an online PDF publication only. It has links throughout, allowing the reader to navigate through the document. As well as giving detailed information on the design and construction process the guide covers several key themes such as brief writing, sustainability, and accessibility.
