Arts engagement in England 2008/09

Date:11 March 2010
Artform:All
Subject:Audience development, Research
Region:National

In recent years, we have gained a lot of information about arts engagement patterns from Taking part, a large-scale survey of cultural participation among adults in England that has been running since 2005.

To date we have conducted extensive analysis of the first full year of data from 2005/06, and recently reported on trends in arts engagement over the three-year period 2005/06–2007/08.

The latest Taking part dataset from 2008/09 is now available. This report is our first step in exploring the most recent statistics on arts engagement in England based on the 2008/09 dataset.
