Private Investment in Culture Survey 2019

The Private Investment in Culture Survey, commissioned from research consultancy MTM, investigates the role individual giving, business investment and trusts and foundations play in funding arts and culture in England.  The report uses latest available figures from 2015-18.

This survey is a key source of information on levels of income beyond the public sector, covering contributed income encompassing corporate partnerships, individual giving and grants/donations from trusts and foundations. 

The next report is expected to be published in Spring 2022 following research and analysis being undertaken between October 2021 and February 2022. The report will offer information on the last three years gathered via a sector-wide survey. Qualitative material will also be included which seeks to reflect the unique and challenging situation presented to arts and cultural organisations’ fundraising strategies due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
