Mushroom Works is a gallery and studio space in Newcastle upon Tyne housing a diverse range of creative businesses. The converted warehouse has 12 individual studios and is located in the Ouseburn Valley, a hotspot for creative talent and industry in the city. The Mushroom Works gallery is open to the public five days a week offering an exciting and diverse programme of exhibitions.
This December, Mushroom Works is holding a spectacular Christmas selling exhibition featuring over 30 artists, designers and makers. Perfect Presents is an exhibition of affordable artworks and design pieces by up and coming and established artists, designers and makers working across the North East and London.
Mushroom Works is an Own Art member gallery so don’t forget that the scheme can be used for that special purchase!

Why not make a day of it and visit Opus Art too? The gallery is presenting a festive exhibition which includes work by leading emerging artists as well as designer gifts for the home.

Artists showing include: Chris Kettle, Henrik Simonsen, Josie McCoy, Chris Acheson, Teresa Duck and Karl de Vroomen to name but a few. Accompanying original paintings will be a select range of affordable prints and perfect designer gifts made by local artists and designers from as little as £15.
Highlights include a Harry Allen Piggy Bank cast from a real pig; flat packed clocks from Amy Levinson - a recent graduate from Northumbria University - which you design yourself; stunning stag heads - All Deer & No Antlers - made by artist Luke Twigger; a wide range of products from chairs to mirrors, clocks and teacups from another local artist Polly Westergaard.
The full range will be available to buy from the Opus Art website and on their interiors page from Friday 20 November.
