Chisenhale Gallery is one of London’s most innovative galleries for contemporary visual art, promoting national and international developments in visual culture through its ambitious commissioning of solo exhibitions, often giving artists their first opportunity to produce a major exhibition in a public space.
In the past, artists who have first shown at Chisenhale have gone on to be nominated for or to win major prizes, including the Turner Prize. Chisenhale Gallery also runs an extensive programme of events including performances, film screenings and talks, as well as projects with local schools and community groups.
