The Eco Design Show features interior products, ceramics, furniture, lighting, jewellery and fashion. The event showcases work from established designers, like key exhibitor Sarah Thirlwell (pictured) and up and coming young designers like Catherine Quinn and Fiona McAlear, joint winners of the Design Initiative’s Graduate Award.
There will also be a Fashion Lab that offers a unique opportunity for buyers - beautiful contemporary clothing, handbags, and accessories will be available. It’s also a perfect time to spot up and coming trends and see live demonstrations from designers over the weekend.
As Sarah Elderkin, Liverpool Design Festival director explained; “The Eco Design Show is all about showing off the best in high quality design to challenge the common misconceptions that exist about eco design. Visitors to the show will be amazed to see what can be recycled and reused”.
The Liverpool Design Festival is run by industry support body Design Initiative with financial support from the City of Liverpool. It is also supported by the National Lottery though Arts Council England.

Own Art has 10 pairs of tickets to give away to the opening reception for the Eco Design Show which will take place at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt Hall on Friday 30 October.
To be entered into the prize draw, email ownart@artscouncil.org.uk by midnight on 25 September 2009 quoting ‘ECO' in the subject line. Winners will be notified on 26 September 2009 and sent their tickets in the post.
