Whether art expert or complete novice, Free Range is an exciting and free event open to everybody. It is the social, all-embracing qualities of Free Range that marks it out so distinctly from other art & design fairs. This vibrant and relaxing event is a celebration of the UK's latest young talent.

Week eight, the final week of Free Range 2009, presents a vibrant programme of mixed media work including Art and Photography, Illustration and Surface Design by graduates from Northumbria University, University of Plymouth, Staffordshire University, University of the West of England and University of the Arts LCC.

Tamsin O'Hanlon, the Director of Free Range, emphasizes this refreshingly open approach to art, "The concept of Free Range is multi-faceted. As the name suggests, the event presents artwork that is original and organic, that goes against the homogenous grain. It is also a chance for young people to display their work in a professional environment - the public has direct access to both the exhibits and the exhibitors, something that is rare for both the creators and the viewers."

The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane is a natural backdrop for the event - a site steeped in history but which embraces the future. The many cafés, bars and restaurants in the Old Truman Brewery and the surrounding area provide the perfect place to unwind after a visit to the shows.

Together with its partners, London Graphic Centre, theprintspace, Dazed & Confused, Grafik and British Journal of Photography Free Range provides abundant support for the new generation of artists and designers, giving them the opportunity to present their work, perhaps for the first time, to the public.
