We invite you to the launch of WE PLAY at the Manchester Velodrome on 24 March from 10am-12pm which will announce the start of a significant new regional partnership and innovative cultural programme for the north west.

Designed to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and leave a lasting legacy in communities across the region, WE PLAY will create and support a wide range of projects which you or your organisation can initiate and get involved in.

The region has secured £3.02 million from the Legacy Trust UK with the objective of encouraging the north west cultural, sporting and education sectors to connect, collaborate and compete for the Olympics. The key themes shaping the Trust’s funding programme are arts and culture, knowledge and learning, and sport and wellbeing, with a strong emphasis on the involvement of young people.

Abandon Normal Devices

The first 20 people to arrive will get the opportunity to have a taster session at the Velodrome later in the year, but everyone who comes will get the opportunity to see the Velodrome in action on the day and experience the atmosphere of this fantastic venue. Manchester Velodrome is Britain’s primary indoor Olympic cycle track.
