On Sunday, 7 November, the Theatrical Management Association (TMA) announced the TMA Theatre Awards Winners for 2010.
A number of Arts Council funded organisations were involved in the winning productions including:
Best Performance in a Play
Maggie Steed for Hay Fever, West Yorkshire Playhouse production
Best Supporting Performance in a Play
Ayesha Antoine for My Wonderful Day, Stephen Joseph Theatre Scarborough production
Best New Play
Spur of the Moment by Anya Reiss, Royal Court Theatre production
Best Performance in a Musical
Ensemble: The Hired Man, Octagon Theatre Bolton production
Best Supporting Performance in a musical
Louise Plowright for Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Musical. A Michael Rose Limited, Chris Moreno and Mayflower Theatre, Southampton presentation of a Theatre Royal Plymouth Production
Best Lighting Design
Chris Davey for Dial M for Murder - West Yorkshire Playhouse and Fiery Angel production, and for Beyond the Horizon - a Royal & Derngate, Northampton production
Best Director
Laurie Sansom for Beyond the Horizon and Spring Storm - Royal & Derngate, Northampton productions
Best Touring Production
The Empire, Royal Court Theatre and Drum Theatre Plymouth production
Achievement in Opera
