somewhereto_ is a nationwide London 2012 legacy project that helps young people find the space they need to do the things they love. The event will introduce the campaign and give delegates the opportunity to see music and performances from, as well as talk to, the youth partners currently involved.
By helping 16-25 year olds secure free spaces for arts, culture and sports activities, the project aims to improve the lives of young people and to create thousands of success stories, today and in the future. Spaces could be digital - for anything from live performance to blogging - outdoor or indoor. This includes studios or warehouses for dance, acting, or photography - or empty shop units for exhibiting art.
Run by Livity, in partnership with Channel 4, somewhereto_ is funded by Legacy Trust UK an independent charity, part-funded by the Arts Council, set up to help build a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games across the UK.
