Sky Arts is to host a TV series giving viewers a unique insight into the working practices of some of the world's best-loved artists.

Art Matters, hosted by model, actress, and recent Cambridge Art History graduate Lily Cole, will feature leading artists interviewed and filmed at work.

Among the artists featured in the programme will be the accclaimed visual artist and Turner Prize nominee Tacita Dean, the celebrated Portugese-British painter and print artist Dame Paula Rego and the innovative Bulgarian eco-artist Christo.

James Hunt, director of Sky Arts, called the programme a 'unique opportunity to get up close and personal to some of the most intriguing, controversial and ground-breaking contemporary artists'.

The series will air in autumn 2012.
