The butterflies were created by Portland Islanders working with artist Lorna Rees Each one represents a young person who lives on the island.

Dancers perform within the battery itself to a soundtrack using the voices of local people in a performance created by Activate Performing Arts.

Performances take place at High Angle Battery where the historic derelict landmark forms the background to tales from islanders and atmospheric 'ghost tunnels'.

The performance is part of Maritime Mix - the Cultural Olympiad by the Sea.
