Nottingham Contemporary receives RIBA award

Nottingham Contemporary has won the prestigious RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award, becoming a candidate for the coveted Stirling Prize.

Nottingham Contemporary is the fourth largest gallery in the UK and received investment of more than £5 million in the building from Arts Council England.

Designed by architects Caruso St John the gallery has proved a massive success locally, regionally, nationally and internationally with people queuing round the building to view the David Hockney exhibition in November 2009.
