Nine organisations to receive over £1.9 million for touring projects across England

  • Date: 12 June 2013
  • Area: National

Today we announced nine organisations to receive a total of over £1.9 million for touring projects across England, through the eighth round of our Strategic touring programme.

Awards from the fund to date total over £15.7 million. You can download the full list of successful applicants from this and previous rounds on our Strategic touring pages.

The successful projects announced today range from the Forestry Commission's pilot programme to bring high quality arts activity to forests across the country through national and local partnerships, to the East Midlands Children's Theatre Network: a two-year pilot to build a network of touring children's theatre within small to mid-scale local venues.

The Strategic touring programme aims to provide better access to quality art to more people across the country. It in particular targets areas of least engagement and increases work for and by children and young people, as well as people from diverse backgrounds.
