Organisations across the country are being invited to take part in the UK's biggest climate change campaign, Climate Week, which takes place from 4-10 March 2013.
Climate Week is a national campaign to inspire a new wave of action on climate change. It culminates with thousands of events and activities taking place throughout the week of 4 to 10 March 2013, planned by organisations from every part of society.
By showcasing real, practical ways to combat climate change, the campaign aims to renew our ambition to create a more sustainable, low-carbon future. During Climate Week in 2012 over 3,000 events were attended by half a million people across the UK.
With many arts organisations involved in sustainable working practices and projects, this is a great opportunity to highlight the arts sector's work in this area, and provide insight into how these issues are being raised and tackled through arts and culture.
You can get involved by organising events to tie in with the week, as well as putting your current activities forward for awards. The Climate Week Awards recognise the most inspirational and impressive actions taking place in every sector of society.
