The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), Performances Birmingham and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) feature in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Michael Boyd, Artistic Director of the RSC has received a knighthood for services to drama and Vikki Heywood, the RSC's Executive Director has received a CBE for services to drama.
Andrew Jowett, Chief Executive, Performances Birmingham Symphony Hall and Town Hall has received the OBE for services to music and Edward Gardner, Principal Guest Conductor at the CBSO and Director of English National Opera has received the OBE for services to music.
Ros Robins, West Midlands Director, Arts Council England, comments: "We congratulate these four people on receiving these awards in the Queen's Jubilee Year. All of them have made a major contribution to the region's arts and culture reputation and truly deserve this recognition.
"The West Midlands has a diverse and thriving arts scene and we at the Arts Council are proud of the artistic results that are being achieved across all art forms."
