Around 4,000 arts and crafts pieces will go on display in Sheffield's Botanical Gardens this weekend, as the South Yorkshire city prepares to host its eighth annual Art in the Gardens event.
Over 300 artists will be showing off their wares as part of northern England's biggest outdoor arts event. A broad range of visual arts will be represented at the show, with photography, ceramics and textiles displays being staged alongside glass, jewellery and sculpture exhibits.
Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council cabinet spokesman for environment and transport, said: 'There's so much to see and do that it will be difficult for anyone to fit it into just one day.
'The Botanical Gardens make a superb setting for the show and it seems to get better every year, so we're confident it will be a great success again this year.'
The work of professional artists will be displayed during the show, while talented amateurs will also be given the chance to shine.
Art in the Gardens runs 3-4 September.
