In Spring and Summer 2013 Big Brum is proud to present a revival of one of the Company’s most popular and best loved productions.

The Giant’s Embrace encourages children in Key Stages 1 and 2 to develop social awareness though live theatre by taking them on a journey into their imagination, exploring themes of responsibility, friendship, family and sustainability. The Company will tour across the Midlands, and interested parties are welcome to come along to view the Company’s award winning, internationally renowned approach to theatre in education.

The new season will follow on from ‘The Broken Bowl’ and ‘The Edge’, written by Edward Bond, produced by Big Brum as part of its celebration of Bond’s 50th anniversary as a dramatist in 2012.  A video from its performances, including footage of Bond working with the company are available here.

Bob Lee, Head of Pegasus Primary School said “Working with Big Brum provides our children with live theatre which challenges them in thought and ideas, and demands that their expressive language is extended”.
