Arts Council England seeks to appoint a new Chair

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has begun the search for a new Arts Council England Chair.

The new Chair will succeed Dame Liz Forgan when her term comes to an end on 31 January 2013. The appointment will be for four years, during which time they will act as an ambassador and advocate for the Arts Council and arts and culture in England.

Working towards the goals set out in our ten-year vision Achieving great art for everyone, the new Chair will need to steer the Arts Council through a changing cultural and organisational landscape, helping to maximise the opportunities for the sector and build on our capacity to contribute to the creative industries, tourism and national well-being.
